Housing e-Academy workshop: Equality & Diversity - Policy into Practice
29th April 2009 sees the launch of a national programme of half day Housing e-Academy events.
'Equality & Diversity - policy into practice' will take place at Cannon Hall Museum, Barnsley and is co-hosted by Housing e-Academy member; Berneslai Homes.
The event is aimed at providing delegates with an opportunity to explore the various pieces of E&D legislation and how they can be applied to organisations working within, or alongside, the housing sector.
All local housing providers and their partners are invited to attend. Run by Charles Dacres, the session will be open and practical; therefore giving delegates the chance to ask some of the difficult questions whilst looking at how they can bring about real changes.
Chloe Weatherhead, housing e-Academy manager, said: "The Yorkshire event is the first of a national programme. Berneslai Homes were the perfect choice for co-host due to their ongoing commitment to equality & diversity and their recent recognition as one of the top 100 employers in Stonewalls Workplace Equality Index; the first ALMO to achieve this acclaim."
