93% believe NHF is proactive

Ninety three per cent of members believe the Natiponal Housing Federation is ‘proactive in shaping policies and initiatives which will benefit the sector’, according to the latest biennial membership survey.

The research – conducted by nfpSynergy between 9 December-17 January – also showed that 69 per cent of members believe the NHF represents ‘good value for money’, up from 56 per cent at the time of the last survey in 2009.

According to the study, 83 per cent believe that the Federation is an ‘effective source of advice’, up from 77 per cent two years ago.

The survey also showed that 78 per cent of members believe the Federation has an ‘understanding of the commercial realities of their business’, up from 66 per cent in 2009.

NfpSynergy interviewed 314 members through online questionnaires and followed these up with 20 in-depth phone conversations.

NHF chief executive David Orr said: “The results of the membership survey demonstrate that we have improved our value for money offer since the last survey was carried out two years ago. However, we will not rest on our laurels but continue to improve service delivery and efficiency for our members.”
