CDHT employees awarded NVQ’s
Thirty four colleagues from Chester & District Housing Trust (CDHT) have been awarded qualifications as part of an on-the-job training scheme.
The workers, who are based at CDHT’s Octavian Centre, Sealand Road, received their NVQ Level 2 certificates in Maintenance Operations from CDHT chief executive John Denny.
All tradesmen who started the NVQ, which is awarded by the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and delivered by Skills Solutions, completed it with on-the-job training.
John Denny said:
“This is great recognition for everyone’s hard work. CDHT really have developed an excellent centre of learning here and these qualifications demonstrate our ongoing commitment to all colleagues and residents.”
Gill Hickey, training co-ordinator for CDHT, added:
“This training will help to give our residents an excellent service. By multi-skilling our colleagues we can provide a one-stop service. Our skills pledge provides the opportunity to gain a qualification in the workplace.”
Ann Duffy, construction craft manager of Skills Solutions, said:
“Skills Solutions, part of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce have enjoyed working in partnership with Chester & District Housing Trust for a number of years. We would like to congratulate the 34 members of staff we have supported in achieving their Level 2 NVQ in Maintenance.”
