CDHT scores a sponsorship deal

Chester & District Housing Trust has been announced as a main sponsor for Chester FC ahead of their first home game at the Deva Stadium this weekend.

Residents are being given the chance to name the West Stand as part of a two-year sponsorship agreement which allows Chester & District Housing Trust (CDHT) up to 100 tickets per home game.

The tickets will be prioritised for residents, community groups and schools to encourage engagement into local sport and use of the club facilities will be available for resident and staff functions. In return, CDHT will ensure that the pitch and surrounding facilities are managed and maintained to an excellent standard.

CDHT’s key partnership status, places them as a main sponsor of Chester FC alongside kit sponsor MBNA.

Phil Jones, CDHT’s director of property services, said: “It is great to be involved with Chester FC since it has risen from the ashes. The partnership should deliver mutual benefits for both Chester FC and for Chester residents and communities. We hope that long term we can work with the club to promote engagement in sporting activities for residents and communities in Chester.

“Chester FC is a community-based football club which is now run by the fans; at the Trust we want to support the community we are part of, seeing similarities between the Trust which is driven by its residents and the new football club. Having played a charity match at the Deva last week, I can testify that the facilities at the Deva Stadium remain first rate and we intend keeping them this way. We hope that Chester FC has a very successful season.”

Chester FC chief executive Steve Ashton added: “We would like to thank Chester & District Housing Trust for their ongoing support and look forward to working alongside CDHT, other sponsors, fans and the community as a whole over the coming seasons as we set out on our journey to climb up the leagues.”
