Chair of Link Group to stand down

Having completed ten years of active service on the board of Link Group, Robbie Robertson is standing down as chairman, a post he has held since September 2007.

Robertson, a former manager of the National and Provincial Building Society (and its successors), commented: “I wish to thank not only all the board members and staff for their support but also everyone whom I have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with. I have never experienced such a level of personal commitment to (and enthusiasm for) improving housing conditions, health and wellbeing as I have during my involvement in the affordable housing sector.”

Peter Foreman, Link’s vice-chairman, who has been elected chairman to succeed Robertson, said: "Link owes a significant debt of gratitude to Robbie who stepped into the breach when the previous chairman passed away. Douglas Sievewright was indeed a hard act to follow but Robbie has proved more than worthy’’.

Celebrating its 50th birthday in 2012, the Link group of housing, support and regeneration companies offers a wide range of services to 10,000 families and individuals, primarily in Scotland's Central belt.
