Dale & Valley’s rising star

Hannah Ferguson

Talented apprentice Hannah Ferguson has reached the final of two competitions in one month.

The 22-year-old planning and resources assistant from Willington in County Durham has been recognised for both her business talents and her good looks.

She has reached the finals of the Star Radio Business Awards for her progress as an apprentice at Dale & Valley Homes and is in the last four of this years’ HairHaus modelling competition.

The business award nomination is in recognition of Ferguson’s huge progress since she started work as an apprentice at Dale & Valley Homes two years ago. She is now about to start a degree course with a view to a future in HR.

She said: “We only entered the competition at the last minute because someone thought it was a good idea. Now I am in the finals.

“It doesn’t feel like I have done anything special but I really enjoy working here.

“When I put in for the Face of HairHaus thing it was just a bit of fun. The public had to vote for their favourite picture on a website to choose the finalists.

“I can’t believe that people I don’t even know chose to vote for me, but hundreds of them did.

“All the attention is a bit embarrassing but I owe the success to my friends, family and colleagues, all of whom have supported me throughout.”
