Galligreaves fun day
Residents of Bethesda and Avon Close, Galligreaves, joined staff from local housing association Guinness Northern Counties to take part in a fun day.
The event was part of an annual neighbourhood planning initiative to seek feedback from members of the community about the services Guinness Northern Counties provide and any improvements which could be made.
The event also gave residents and staff the opportunity to get together to celebrate everything that has been achieved over the past year; most notably the sharp decrease in anti-social behaviour.
Children had donkey rides from Tizer and Treacle of Christine’s Donkeys whilst Bouncy Time Bouncy Castles provided a bouncy castle, face painting, and giant versions of classic.games such as Connect Four.
Residents were rewarded for their neighbourhood feedback with a raffle ticket for every questionnaire that was completed. The prizes included Bonus Bond Vouchers donated by Seddons and a family pass to Farmer Parr’s Animal World in Fleetwood which was kindly donated by the farm, and some chocolate.
Lucy Bell, housing officer for Guinness Northern Counties, said: “Today’s activities proved to be a great way of socialising with our customers whilst finding out how we could improve our services. On behalf of Guinness Northern Counties I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this day a huge success.”
