Gloucester City Homes select Lovell for refurb work
Lovell has been chosen by Gloucester City Homes to carry out a range of external envelope refurbishment works on selected homes over the next three years.
The contract, which includes external works such as roofing, rendering, windows, fascias and soffits, is worth £1.5million.
Lovell has been working with Gloucester City Homes (GCH) for five years and recently completed work on the 4000th home in the refurbishment programme. Work undertaken by Lovell consistently achieved 99 per cent satisfaction rating from residents – a trend the company is keen to continue, said regional director, David Gough:
“We have had a long and fruitful relationship with Gloucester City Homes, which has become a real success story. I have already seen the pleasure our work brings to individual residents and the benefit it brings to the community as a whole, so I’m looking forward to getting started on this new phase of improvements for the benefit of the people of Gloucester.”
Head of property services at GCH, Michael Hill, added: “The partnership with Lovell has represented real value for money for our tenants in recent years. Lovell has won this contract under stiff European rules for procurement and in accordance with GCH rules on value for money and service quality where tenants are involved in the selection process.
“This continues our commitment to improving our tenants’ homes and we have a range of exciting projects over the next five years which will improve tenants’ homes and communities further.”
