Greenfields strikes gold
Greenfields Community Housing has become the first housing association in the Eastern region to achieve Investors in People (IIP) Gold accreditation.
Investors in People is the UK’s leading management business improvement standard which has been shown to improve performance; increase profitability and help organisations meet their strategic objectives.
Gold is the highest level of recognition that organisations can achieve and so Greenfields joins a select number of IIP Gold organisations in the UK. Of over 26,000 organisations with IIP recognition in the country, only 1 per cent have achieved Gold status. Around seventeen housing associations in the UK have gold status, including Greenfields.
A representative from Investors in People said: “Greenfields is achieving world class best practice and is a cutting-edge organisation operating at the very highest levels of people management practice. For a new organisation to attain ‘gold’ standard following their first assessment is a phenomenal achievement”.
Julie Breed, Greenfields’ head of human resources, said: “Greenfields needed 165 points out of a possible 196 to achieve Gold status. We comfortably achieved the standard with 176 points and we received recognition for a number of particular strengths, including a ‘can-do’ culture, high levels of involvement & consultation with our residents, and collaborative and inspiring leadership.”
