Inspace scoops £20m Essex housing estate contract
Inspace, the social housing arm of Willmott Dixon, has been awarded a £20million contract with Old Ford Housing Association, for phase one of the £80million regeneration of the Mardyke estate in Rainham.
The regeneration of the estate will see 516 homes replaced with up to 555 houses comprising 339 general needs, 64 shared ownership and 152 private sale properties, plus re-provision of estate office, local shops and a new Primary Care Trust facility.
Inspace has also entered into a pre-development agreement for the second phase design of Mardyke.
Phase one starts on site now and involves 121 affordable units.
The entire regeneration of the estate is expected to take around six years.
