Kier wins in London
Kier Building Maintenance, part of the Kier Group, has announced that it has been awarded four-year contracts with Wandsworth Council.
Kier is one of two providers and the contracts worth £1.104 million will begin in October.
The company will provide repair and maintenance services to communal housing estates across the borough, maintaining public, such as staircases, lobbies and paving.
This is the latest win for Kier Building Maintenance in the London region following the announcement of two new contracts with ALMO Homes for Islington. The first of the two new contracts will see Kier undertake housing repairs, voids and adaptations across the borough with an indicative annual value of between £14 million and £20 million. The second contract is for gas servicing repairs, replacements and upgrades in the north of the borough, with an indicative annual value of between £1 million and £2 million.
Kier Building Maintenance London regional director, Rob Leitch, added: “The Wandsworth contract comes hot on the heels of our Islington win and is the eleventh major contract we have won in London, demonstrating our commitment to delivering sustainable community solutions across the region.
“Part of our success is due to the fact we work hard to develop strong relationships not only with our clients but with local tenants and leaseholders – in this case a number of whom were invited by Wandsworth Council to be involved in the contract selection process. It is only by understanding the grass roots needs of a community that you can make a difference, and we are committed to doing this.”
