Laptop gift for Brownies

Members of a Brownie pack have been surfing the web after receiving a laptop computer from Cumbernauld Housing.

The organisation had a number of spare laptops after joining the Sanctuary Group and decided to donate them to groups in the local community, who had to make a written bid to be considered.

Th 41st Cumbernauld Brownies received their laptop, from Alex Clark, chairman of Cumbernauld Housing, earlier this month and will use it to carry out research on the internet and keep up-to-date with the latest events on the Brownies website.

Campbell Kinloch, housing manager for Cumbernauld, said: “The Cumbernauld Brownies provide a safe environment for youngsters to take part in a range of activities and make new friends, and we hope our support will allow them to discover further exciting opportunities.”
