Mansell scoops £5.7m Hackney housing scheme

Mansell has been awarded a £5.7 million contract for the design and construction of 36 new homes at Lyme Grove in Hackney, London under the North River Alliance framework.

The scheme will see an existing building demolished and an eight-storey tower built in its place.

Of the 36 homes, 27 will be one, two or three-bed flats with a row of nine townhouses, comprising three and four bedroom homes. All have been designed to achieve Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Demolition will begin this month with building work expected to begin in mid-July with completion in October 2010.
