Morrison, a leading provider of maintenance services and capital projects to the housing sector has appointed John Boyd as its new managing director at Maintenance and Property Care (MPC), a joint venture company it has set up with North Lanarkshire Council.

Between 1997 and 2006 he helped to successfully grow the business, achieving an annual turnover approaching £40m.

John Boyd said: “Our priorities include real margin improvement, community development and increased customer satisfaction. There is a lot to do and I am looking forward to my new role and the fresh challenges it will bring.”

Commenting on John Boyd’s appointment, Morrison chief executive Guy Wakeley said: “I am delighted to welcome John to MPC. With his broad experience in delivering successful social housing repairs and maintenance contracts in Scotland I am confident that John will add considerable value to the business and successfully develop the company going forward.”
