Morrison wins Cambridgeshire contracts
Two Cambridgeshire councils have appointed Morrison, a leading provider of maintenance services and capital projects to the housing sector, as the preferred bidder for two social housing maintenance contracts.
The two contracts are for the provision of inspection, servicing and maintenance of gas fired domestic central heating systems for both Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council.
The £1.5 million per annum contracts double the value of the existing contract which Morrison has held with Cambridge City Council since 2003. It is hoped that the new seven-year contract will also help position Morrison for undertaking an additional contract of gas installation works, further strengthening its position in the South and South East of England.
Guy Wakeley, chief executive of Morrison, said: “Winning these contracts will enable us to build a new relationship with South Cambridgeshire District Council, as well as strengthening our existing partnership with Cambridge City Council. It will also allow us to expand our community development projects into South Cambridgeshire, enabling us to provide help and support to even more communities.”
