Muir Group commended for Cambridgeshire scheme

Muir Group Housing Association has been highly commended in the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) New Home Warranty (NHW) Awards 2008 for one of its schemes in Cambridgeshire.

The housing association was highly commended in the ‘Social Housing Development of the Year’ category for its development of nine affordable family houses off New Road, Offord Cluny near St Neots.

Having been given this high recommendation Muir Group will now display the LABC NHW Award of Excellence logo.

The Offord Cluny scheme is made up of nine two and three bedroom houses. Four family homes are available to purchase on a shared ownership basis.

The residential housing development was part funded through the Homes and Communities Agency, and locally supported by Huntingdonshire District Council and the Parish Council’s of Offord Cluny and Offord D’Arcy.

"We are proud that this small rural housing scheme has been recognised in these national awards not only for the high quality design - which have created desirable homes - but also the build quality recognised by the Site Manager of the Year award that went to Pat Tracy of Gould Construction.”
