Lord Redesdale has been appointed as a non-executive director of Watertight International.

The company has recently launched a new generation flood protection system for at-risk properties and Lord Redesdale, who is heavily involved with environmental issues will provide the company with a wealth of understanding of regulatory issues relating to environmental matters.

Vice Chair of the all party Climate Change Group since its inception five years ago Lord Redesdale has also introduced a number of private members bills on energy efficiency and carbon reduction; and was the Liberal Democrat spokesperson in the Lords on Energy and Agriculture from 2000 to 2008.

“There is an obvious increase in the incidence of flooding and the need to adapt to climate change is very apparent,” he says. “Watertight International’s approach to protecting property from the ravages of flooding is very comprehensive. It provides a solution to a problem that is affecting a growing number of people, which makes me pleased to be involved with it.”
