President of the local
Kevin Lamacq, joint managing director of North Tyne Construction, is the newly elected president of his local association of the National Federation of Builders (NFB).
The Newcastle, Northumbria & North Durham (NNND) local association elected Lamacq at its AGM held at Lumley Castle. He succeeds former president Ken Brown of Dorin Construction, who served in the role for five years. Members also elected new vice president, Stephen Foster of J&W Lowry.
“I’m really looking forward to my new role and hope to encourage new – and maybe remind some old – members that being an NFB member has many benefits and ultimately helps them win work,” said Lamacq. “In the current challenging economic climate the NFB offers, support, guidance and advice on construction matters, and in my eyes most importantly offers the ability to generate a competitive edge.”
