Riverside appoints new repairs contractor

Riverside has appointed a new repairs contractor for tenants in Greater Manchester.

The 10-year contract with Evolve which is worth £15 million, started last month and aims to raise service standards through close partnership working.

Tenants were involved in the selection process at each stage, devising questions for the company and monitoring its suitability for the contract.

Evolve already delivers a repairs and maintenance service for Riverside in Merseyside and has achieved an improvement in service delivery, as well as cost savings.

Simon Andrews, Riverside’s project manager, said: “Our repairs service will continue to run as normal. Tenants need to look out for the new contractor’s vans and ID badges when they are expecting a repair or maintenance work.”

Neil O’Halloran, managing director of Evolve, added: “We are looking forward to meeting and developing good relationships with Riverside tenants in Greater Manchester. Tenants play an important role in helping us to achieve our aims, as we have found in Merseyside, where we recorded a high level of customer satisfaction.”
