Sanctuary Group plans new Derby retirement homes

Mansell has won a £9.2million contract to build an independent living scheme in Derby for Sanctuary Group.

Mackworth extra care scheme will be a three-storey facility providing 98 self-contained apartments, alongside communal facilities, including shops, activity rooms, a restaurant, gym, health suite and hairdressers.

The contract involves the demolition of the existing building.

Work is due to start this month with completion in autumn 2012.
