Save pounds as well as the planet!

One of the largest housing associations in the Midlands is urging its 11,000 residents to go online for tips on how to be more eco-friendly and save money at the same time.

The Accord Group is encouraging its residents – and other council tenants across the Midlands - to log on and take part in the free energy conservation workshop at: www.workshop.thegreenhouseproject.org.uk

The 20-minute workshop gives residents tips on choosing energy saving appliances, changing their behaviour to be more energy efficient and putting together a ‘green’ action plan.

More than 120 residents from Accord and other housing associations have already completed the workshop ‘offline’ in a series of actual training sessions. The online version now makes it even easier to complete.

Project co-ordinator Natalie Jones said: “The new online workshop is fun, dead easy to do and gives you some fantastic hints and tips about saving money by managing energy. It doesn’t take long, so give it a go!”
