South Liverpool Housing tenants move into new homes
The first tenants of South Liverpool Housing (SLH) have moved into their new homes built as a result of £20million invested into the area.
More than 300 high-quality homes have been designed in the South Liverpool estate with parking, landscaping and protected rear gardens.
The houses range from 2-bed bungalows and flats, to 3- and 4-bedroom family homes, with 120 homes for rent and the rest for sale. Tenants and residents backed the development after a massive consultation exercise and their involvement will continue as more residents move into their new homes.
Tenants are moving into the properties in stages to ease the transition process as all existing properties will be demolished in order to secure a complete transformation for the area.
Julie Fadden, South Liverpool Housing chief executive said: "SLH know it is not just bricks and mortar that make a home and I am delighted that these new homes mark a fresh lease of life for the community in Garston Under the Bridge.
This project shows the benefits of a successful partnership between all agencies and special thanks goes to the residents and Project Team who made this possible. I hope everyone settles into their new homes and Churchfields becomes well known for being a safe and happy community."
