Surrey tenant evicted for anti-social behaviour

A 25-year-old resident, who made his neighbours’ lives a misery through anti-social behaviour, has been evicted from his home in Stanwell, Surrey.

Local housing provider A2Dominion took action against the tenant following on-going reports from neighbours about anti-social behaviour.

Complaints included loud music, shouting and fighting in the flat, threats being made to other residents and a dog being kept in the home without permission.

Staines County Court granted a possession order to A2Dominion, allowing it to take back possession of the property.

Anna Burridge, A2Dominion’s director of housing services (South), said: “We will always take action to tackle anti-social behaviour of any kind, to ensure our neighbourhoods are peaceful places to live.

“In this case, the tenant’s behaviour caused continual disturbance to the lives of his neighbours. We worked with him to try to support him in amending his behaviour, but in the end we had no option but to take back possession of our property.”

A2Dominion, which manages more than 7,600 homes in the borough of Spelthorne, worked with a number of partners on this case, including Surrey Police and Spelthorne Borough Council.
