Following their successful re-accreditation as an Investor in Excellence, Trent & Dove Housing went one better winning a “Highly Commended award” for their progress towards business excellence whilst transforming homes, lives and neighbourhoods in East Staffordshire.

Over 1,200 people attended the Investors in Excellence (IiE) event, which was held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on the 29 Janaury, and was hosted by BBC Midland’s Kay Alexander, with special guest presenter, James Caan from TV’s Dragons Den who presented the awards.

Trent and Dove’s re-accreditation submission had been nominated by Midlands Excellence to go into the annual Excellence awards final where they would be judged against some of the best businesses in the Midlands.

Trent & Dove was one of just 10 Midlands finalists and was the only housing association that made it through private sector competition into the finals.

Chief executive, Ron Dougan said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have received this prestigious business award from Midlands Excellence. We were up against some of the ‘best of the best’ Companies in the Midlands and it’s a great tribute to our Board and staff that we have been recognised at such a level.

“Using the Business Excellence Model ensures that our focus remains on adding value to our business relationships with our stakeholders and complements other achievements such as our recent re-accreditation by Investors in People and the TPAS Pinpoint Resident Involvement accreditation.”
