Trent & Dove Housing has received a special Pinpoint accreditation award in recognition of its strongly embedded resident involvement ethos.

Chief executive of the Tenants Participation and Advisory Services (TPAS) and special guest speaker Phil Morgan presented the award at Trent & Dove’s annual “Review of the Year” stakeholder event held at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton

During his presentation, Morgan who is soon to take up his new role as executive director of tenant services at the new national regulator, The Tenant Services Authority, mentioned that Trent & Dove was one of the first eight housing associations in the country so far to have gained the coveted TPAS quality mark for Resident Involvement.

He said: “Many of the innovative practices to put customers at the heart of its business would be showcased to other housing organizations as what can be achieved. TPAS have been so impressed by the achievement of this association that it has produced a case study based upon its good practice.”

Ron Dougan, Trent & Dove’s chief executive, said: “TPAS, as the representative organization for tenant involvement, has developed this standard in order to recognize housing associations who demonstrate best practice within the key principles identified as being important to excellent resident involvement within an organization. That we gained the award at our first attempt is a significant achievement, and is down to the work put in by our residents’ groups and staff.”
