Tristar become 12th NEP member

Tristar Homes in Stockton has joined North East Procurement (NEP) to help it fulfil the completion of its Decent Homes refurbishment programme, bringing the membership of the consortium to 12 social landlords.

David Hill, procurement manager at Tristar Homes said: “We are confident that this is the right route to take for our customers and it is the best way forward for Tristar,” said David Hill, Tristar’s procurement manager.

Joining NEP is expected to bring some significant benefits. Hill added: “Firstly, achieving efficiencies by exercising joint spending power and secondly, utilising some of these efficiencies to look at the social agendas such as creating local jobs and skills programmes.”

Ian Brimer, NEP’s chief executive added: “Tristar Homes are an excellent social housing group who care deeply about tenants and their homes. We aim to help them fulfil their objectives and provide them with quality and cost effective materials to improve homes.”

Tristar manages over 10,600 properties. NEP’s 10 founding members own and manage in the region of 100K properties and include Your Homes Newcastle, Homes for Northumberland and South Tyneside Homes.
