TSA appoint new director of regulation
Matthew Bailes has today been announced as the new director of regulation of the Tenant Services Authority (TSA).
Bailes is currently head of affordable housing at the Department for Communities and Local Government replaces Richard Moriarty, who departed the TSA in December.
As well as holding responsibility for the department’s policy on affordable housing, Bailes has led on TSA sponsorship within DCLG and contributed to the development of the TSA’s regulatory standards. He has also worked closely with the TSA and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) in helping guide the sector through tough economic challenges.
Chief executive of the social housing regulator, Claer Lloyd-Jones said:
“I am extremely pleased that we have been able to attract someone of Matthew’s calibre as we progress through this significant stage in our development. He brings a new range of skills and experience and his arrival will help strengthen the TSA as we move towards transition into the HCA”.
He will begin his role in the near future on secondment from DCLG and will take the regulator through to its transition into the HCA.
